Fungest represents a virtuous, all-Italian production chain with a long and rich history of collaboration between the entities that are part of it. A precious and highly efficient cooperation that finds the best expression in its exhaustive offer.
A short and self-sufficient production chain, one of the largest in Italy, boundaryless, able to team up with the customer to anticipate, support and elevate every request.
FUNGEST is composed of FUNGHITEX, FUNGHIDEA, MAC and FUNGICOLTURA DEL CIRCEO.

BEYOND THE SUBSTRATE

Cultivated mushroom is the only horticultural product whose growing substrate and origin are known. Compost comes from organic material and undergoes a controlled fermentation and pasteurization process that makes it a product of high reliability and consistent productivity.
But for Funghitex, substrate is only the beginning of the journey. We support growers by cooperating with them during the whole growing process, ensuring that customers receive crucial support for optimal results, maximizing harvests and production efficiency.

A GENUINE TEAM

Funghidea receives the product from the mushroom farms in the shortest possible time and instantly processes it according to the customer's requests, with the possibility of customization depending on the distribution channel.
From harvesting to delivery, from processing to distribution, the freshness of the mushroom is ensured by a dynamic logistics apparatus, advanced technologies able to guarantee the control of the temperatures the whole transit phases, and extremely short lead times. All of it represents the result of experience, plant modernity, and strategic geographical location.
The mushroom farms are the beating heart of the Producer Organization:
each one of them is a controlled production hub, with a coordinated logistical apparatus that guarantees freshness and quality at the highest level.
